They say this is what police are trained to do, but I’ll bet you that the cop didn’t yell out to drop the gun. I’m guessing he saw a gun, and because of his militant training and his belief that all citizens are potential killers, he immediately killed the guy. Us-vs-Them creates a “zero tolerance” attitude, and that’s probably what you see here.
