Excessive force is 30 police cars to catch one guy, arresting him, and then dragging him like a dog across the pavement and pinning his head down with your knee in an act of domination. To the police, it’s a war zone out there. It’s cops vs everyone else. This is what they’re taught. This is why their behavior sucks. And incidents like this are indicative of that cop mentality, even if this incident is not as tragic as some of the others.
Missouri’s gun friendly culture isn’t stopping some House Democrats from trying to purge assault weapons from the state.
Legislation backed by several St. Louis area lawmakers would require gun owners to surrender or destroy their assault weapons within 90 days of the measure’s passage. The proposed ban would include semi automatic rifles with detachable magazines and semi automatic pistols with the capacity to shoot more than ten rounds of ammunition before reloading.
